[mkiv] Tilton install q's

I'm about to install a Tilton clutch, and I have a few basic questions.
Any help is greatly appreciated. :-)
Tilton does not mention using a pilot bearing/input shaft alignment tool
to install the clutch pack even though it's a push-style clutch.
Instead, the installation instructions imply the clutch pack should be
installed ala a pull-style clutch meaning it should be put on the input
shaft followed by a bolt-down of the bell housing. Then, the clutch
pack is tightened in a star pattern using the access ports in the bell
housing. Is that how it's typically done?
It appears that the hydraulic line needs to be cut to length when going
from the line mounted on the chassis to the release bearing. Does
anyone happen to know what the length of that line should be? I would
prefer not to install the tranny just to size the line.
There are specifications on the bearing-to-clutch diaphragm clearance.
Is that already taken into account using the bearing mounting block
provided with the clutch kit?
The pedal stop dimensions appear to be fairly critical so as not to
overdrive the release bearing. Is the OEM throw of the pedal already
configured to meet the Tilton spec?
Thanks!
