[mkiv] Drive Pulley woes

Mine broke too. You'll find it's one of the few but very common failures on Supra's. I replaced mine with an Unorthodox Racing(Billet) pulley but I wouldn't reccomend it even though it was the cheapest and lightest alternative. I drive my car everyday and the idle is a bit rough now. The SFI approved dampened pulley from Boost Logic would be they way to go IMHO. You get the improved response without the idle being adversely affected.

Also, if you mess up with the puller getting the pulley off, I have a $50 tap bought from a specialty German tool company that will rethread the crank. =P

My drive pulley broke too (somewhere around the 200K mark). The cause was
my A/C compressor freezing up. I guess that any accessory or a combination
could put enough load on the belt to break the drive pulley.
