Trust me, this is an issue you don't need to be "guessing" about. Get a dial 
indicator and mount the holder part on the front sway bar. Attach the dial 
itself to the holder and put it up against the crank pulley.  Take a large 
screw driver and put it behind the pulley and move it towards the radiator. 
If you have more than 15 thousandths end play (movement) you got a problem. 
Measure it several times to be sure.

It would be helpful to know what the pedal pressure is on your clutch set 
up. Stock is 14-15Lbs.
I have heard of guys with clutches requiring 30-35lbs. Guess what?
