[mkiv] crank walk?

I don't know how common crank walk is on our cars but
I think I may be having that dreadful problem.  When I
push my clutch pedal in, I'm hearing a rubbing noise
and I can feel a vibration in the clutch pedal.  I've
also noticed a 200-300 rpm drop when I push the clutch
pedal in.  

I hope it's something else but I think a bad throwout
bearing would only cause noise with the clutch out,
not pushed in...correct me if I'm wrong.  Anyways if
anyone can help me out with a diagnosis I would
appreciate it!

I have a HPF sprung clutch with an ACT PP
