I have been having a strange problem with my idle. I have an VPC/GCC
combo with stock fuel pump, BoostLogic fuel rail, fuel dampener bypass,
Aeromotive FPR and Siemens 75# (780cc injectors). I still have the
factory 9/12V ECU in for the fuel pump installed as well. My car is a
1994 single turbo (T-61).
The problem is that my AFR at idle is ~12.0. I can adjust the idle
screw on the VPC from the 0 position to full lean, to lean it out to
~14.7 but then I get a stumble when revving at about 1500. Makes starts
kind of annoying. I checked fuel pressure and it is 28lbs with the host
connected and 36lbs with the hose disconnected. When cruising it is at
14.7 right where its supposed to be. As long as its rich it drives
great it just stinks a bit. Does anyone have any ideas why I am rich at
idle or why I get the stumble when I lean it out? Should I just leave
it alone if its behaving correctly (drivability wise)?
Thanks,
Alex G.

I agree. I have the CS' now (at Marshall's referral) and could not be
happier. They maintain a little stiffer ride than stock at average
adjustment and at full stiff are stiffer than stock but not bone
jarring. They also maintain near full suspension travel (more than Flex
and others by AFAIR +-50mm) which is a big bonus. If you email Tein
they will provide you with all of the information you need. They also
come at a preset recommended ride height which was perfect in my
opinion. I run 265-35-18 front and 295-35-18 rear with no rubbing.
If you are a serious road racer with many track events then get the Flex
or stiffer. If you are a occasional road racer with a couple track
events here and there then get the CS. You will not be disappointed.

CS's are much better than KYB/Eibach combo (had both on my 98).

To return or not - that is the question!
Hi all -
I thought I had a cracked windshield washer reservoir. All the water had
drained out right after the first frost last fall. I ran w/o the washer
during the winter. I moved and changed jobs this spring and finally this
week I ordered a new reservoir from the local Toyota dealer. It came in and
tonight I set about replacing it - something to do while I waited for the
oil to drain and the engine to cool enough to replace the filter.
When I dropped the fender liner I saw that one of the hoses had slipped off
the pump. Unlike the plastic hose that is fairly permanently ossified onto
it's nipple this one is rubber - softened no doubt by an oil or P/S leak. I
clamped it on, filled the tank, and it was as good as new.
The new tank is still in its wrapping.
I've never had this happen before so I'd like to know the advisability of
trying to return a special ordered part to a dealer. The price was about
$47 so I'll 'eat' it if returning it would likely jeopardize my
'relationship' there. I have other parts on order and more to come.
So, besides calling me 'dipstick' what do you have to say about my
predicament?
Please be gentle.
Thanks!
- Bill

It doesn't hurt to ask. If it's unopened I wouldn't think it would be
a big deal for them to take it back. Speak to the manager if
necessary.

There seems to be a lot of BCC that come up on ebay. They said to get one
for the mr-2. Does anyone know what year mr-2 or engine that the bcc is for
that will work on my 96 supra tt? Is there any other model bcc that will
work on the supra?
Thanks
Lonnie
